About IEEE ASYP CONGRESS 2021

Upcoming online IEEE Africa Students and Young Professional Congress (ASYP-C) 2021 is a regional workshop organized in every odd year with sponsorship from IEEE Region 8. The first event was held in Abuja in 2017, Nairobi edition was held in 2019 and Kampala edition will be held online starting from 04th – 06th December, 2021 and Industrial Tour for IEEE Uganda Section members will take place on the 3rd day of the congress. 

The THEME for the Congress is: Raising Awareness about Workforce Development and Mentorship Opportunities for Professional Advancement.

During the Congress, a wide variety of workshops and lectures will be organized and presentations will be made on interesting topics in diverse technical fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Renewable Energy, Software Defined Networking and many other emerging technologies and also several topics related to soft skills will be presented. Participants from Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, and Zambia will be invited to attend the congress virtually and participants from Uganda will attend the event both physically and virtually.
